My Vinyl Collection: Part 1

I've been collecting records for years now, roughly since I was about 14/15. Since this time I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on records, I would never hazard a guess because I think my wallet would probably start crying. But, I have all these records here in my amazing record box and I see no point in not showing them off here as, let's be honest, records truly are works of art as they are so beautiful with their big, bold cover arts and crisp sound on good players. They truly are unmatched in terms of collections and quality. Shout out to The Lipstick, The Girl and Her Wardrobe for giving me the idea to do this, So let's begin with the A's. Foals - Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost: Part 1

Foals are back! Finally! With their fifth album coming a fair few years after What Went Down. With the three singles we've heard already and the, quite frankly, beautiful album cover this clearly promised to be a very special era for Foals and fans of the band alike. The album opens with the riveting "Moonlight" and it shines down upon the album like a ray of moonlight as it sets the dark, dreary undertone for the album - this is a common theme throughout the entire album as the band deal with the dear state of the world and what constantly feels like an impending doom and as the album builds and cascades it never shakes the dread. "Syrups" is the only song on the album where I felt as though it dragged on too long and at a mere 4 minutes that's never good. The problem with the song is that it brings the building climax down a notch and makes it just drag out. I feel as though "Syrups" should have been placed earlier in the tracklist as w

Top 25 Kanye Songs: 25-11

With the upcoming release of Waves or whatever Kanye will eventually decide iIve decided to look back over my favourite artists catalogue and found that the list changed with mood but I had to nail down some sort of list. Kanye arguably has one of the greatest catalogues of any artist and certainly most rappers at least have one whack album, but not Kanye! Firstly, this is MY opinion, not fact and secondly No songs off Cruel Summer will be included as it isn't technically a Kanye album. Kicking us off at number 25 is: 25. In Paris What can I honestly say about this song that hasn't been said already? The verses arent particularly strong, especially Kanye's but this will always come on at the club. I think seeing it live honestly ruined it because when I hear it it just reminds me that I will probably never be able to witness anything as spectacular as these two rapping giants going at it on one stage again. Kendrick Lamar - Untitled, Unmastered (Review)

Kendrick Lamar is undoubtedly the greatest rapper out there, his last album To Pimp A Butterfly was probably the most critically adored album in years. One thing about Kendrick is not only is he uninfluenced by other rappers but he is also marking his place in the rap hall of fame already, and he's only been widely known a few years. Kendrick is therefore, one of my favourite rappers out right now as well as you may well know from my 20-11 and 10-1 lists of my favourite songs from the Compton rapper. I think what has always astounded me most about Kendrick is his ability too match his flow to different styles of beats and his astounding lyricism. He, without a doubt, has the ability to become a Hip-Hop legend and it he is more than worthy. So, when it was announced a mere 24 hours before it's release I loaded up the performances from the Grammy's and the Colbert report and watched those genuinely brilliant live shows of 2 of the Untitled songs it got me excited to fina
