The Vaccines - Combat Sports (Album Review)

The Vaccines are a bad that I've always half gotten on with. I can't say that I particularly love any of their albums but I do love quite a few of their songs like "If You Wanna", "I Always Knew" and "Teenage Icon" but their deep album cuts have never struck a chord with me, it always feels as if they haven't put as much effort into the album cuts as they did the singles and I can still feel that on Combat Sports.

Combat Sports is probably their best album yet, I feel as though it's a lot more wholesome and finished than their previous efforts. The first single from the album was outstanding, "I Can't Quit" embodies everything that I love about The Vaccines with their boisterous and blasting anthems which hark to back to those indie bangers I previously mentioned.

The abundance of singles are the clear highlights on this album, but once again it's middle of the road for The Vaccines. Which is disappointing but I'm starting to wonder whether The Vaccines will ever live up to the hype of their singles.
